On his 5th birthday asked to skip school. "OK, but you're still gonna learn today". We agreed a curriculum:
- run w/ scissors safely
- memorize home address, phone #'s
- practice dialing 911 + reporting "daddy fell and..." turned-blue, hurt-by-scissors, won't-wake-up.
- exit building w/o using elevators
- exit underground garage blindfolded w/o using elevator
- get to the front desk from outside
The prize for success was he could put gas in the car. #motivation
